1. Introduction

Welcome to World On Demand ("WOD", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the worldondemand.live website and platform. By accessing or using our platform, whether as a viewer ("User") or a broadcaster ("Creator"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

WOD operates as an intermediary platform that connects local creators with remote users for real-time, interactive virtual walking tours.

2. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our payment services.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. We use Supabase for secure authentication.
  • Users and Creators must provide accurate legal billing information to comply with international tax laws (e.g., VAT).

Pricing & Fees Transparency

We establish a minimum price of 15€ per tour to ensure a fair compensation for our local guides, covering their time, data costs, and commitment to quality. This ensures that every experience is premium and sustainable.

Platform & Payment Fees: A standard Stripe processing fee (~3% + 0.25€) and a WOD service fee are deducted from the total price to maintain the secure infrastructure and global routing.

3. Creator Obligations & Content

As a Creator broadcasting on WOD, you agree to the following strict guidelines:

  • Zero Tolerance Policy: You may not broadcast sexually explicit content, violence, hate speech, illegal acts, or harassment.
  • AI Moderation: You acknowledge that your live video feed may be scanned by automated AI systems to ensure compliance with our safety policies.
  • Punctuality: You must start the live stream at the scheduled time. Failure to do so may result in automatic refunds to the User and a penalty on your account.

4. Payments & Refunds

WOD uses Stripe as a secure third-party payment processor.

  • Hold & Capture (Escrow): When a User books a tour, the funds are authorized and held. The payment is only captured and distributed to the Creator upon successful completion of the tour.
  • Creator Payouts: Creators receive a percentage of the Net Revenue (Total minus applicable VAT/Taxes). Payouts are handled via Stripe Connect.
  • Refunds: Users are entitled to a full refund if the Creator does not show up or due to major technical issues on the Creator's end.

5. Intellectual Property

The live streams remain the intellectual property of the Creator. However, by broadcasting on WOD, you grant us a temporary license to transmit and display the content to the paying User. Users are strictly prohibited from recording or reselling the feed.
